oooh man, one song that always hits the mark - faultless, one of the best of the British 60's tunes, equal with Tin Soldier by Small Faces

This vid reminded me of why I'm so lucky to have experienced the 1960's. CAUSE EVERYTHING WAS ORIGINAL IN THE 60'S! WORD BABY! 5 STARS.

you could say that about music of any era- but today things are a lot less tribal. its ok to put classical music or metal over techno beats, mix ukranian folk with punk, a rock band with a sheffield accent- basically bands today are taking on board desolate influences to make somethng wholly new

Are they? Sounds like they're covering well-trodden ground to me.
falldownfreddy (August 20th, 2008 @ 10:31 am)
also im not saying that old music is bad a la little richard, joy division, the smiths etc but the idea that music has had a golden age and it has somehow ended in 1997 is rediculous
falldownfreddy (August 20th, 2008 @ 10:26 am)
right i have a couple of tasks for you. first get gallows 'orchestra of wolves' the song and put it on full blast second, go see gogol bordello then tell me 21st century music isnt fantastic

What a load of absolute shite. "Pushing the boundaries of music" My arse. Pushing the boundaries of twattishness, perhaps.
