im surprised.. never knew this actually happened.. this should be a popular video so people understand that at one point apple needed microsoft. im sure not a lot of people knew about it. This makes me think about apple's commercials now, those mac vs pc, sure it seems that the mac fellow supports pc and thinks theyre great but the message across the commercial is sarcastic .. jobs talks about working with microsoft and ending the mac vs pc world and competition and now theyre back at it

Apple didn't beg for help. Microsoft had hired a company to re-write it's video playing software; the same company that Apple hired to port QuickTime for Windows. The company just copied bits of Apple's code and gave it to Microsoft, and so Microsoft where about to get their faces sued-off for using Apple's code in their software. This deal was Microsoft's way of avoiding that; they got to use the software and got IE on Mac... Apple got $150million, and Office.
