That's the thing though. Things didn't used to have to be perfect for people to find them acceptable. Things were unique and had character, not everything was a perfectly polished, analyzed-all-over, 100% "professional" fabrication.

No. It's the reader's problem if they can't separate fantasy from reality. Banning photoshop won't address the issue of people holding themselves to perfect beauty standards, but educating them about it will. Jebus, talk about a short-term solution to a long-term problem. Do people honestly think this is the first time in history we've gone to extreme lengths (eating disorders, plastic surgery etc.) to achieve a physical ideal?

Its your body, you can do what you damn well please to it. How in fucks name are you going to tell me i can't have plastic surgery? Whats your basis for limiting my right to my pursuit of happiness? It in no way infringes on the rights of others and is a completely voluntary procedure. Additionally, im guessing your looking at Michael Jackson for your reference on nose jobs. I'm sure you wouldn't be able to tell 90% of the people who have had plastic surgery have gone under the knife.

I mean , you can also compare it to the actors/artists who always wear make-up(even men lmfao) , as well as always get plastic surgery , it's the same thing. It's despicable for humans to get plastic surgery , other than for medical reasons , it should outright be illegal. Everyone can look as good as they can look by having a good and healthy lifestyle , there is absolutely no reason to fuck up your nose (nose jobs look SO SHITTY), or inflate your tits (fake tits are nausiating), to look good.

This whole photo retouching is just because all those people are SO INSANELY insecure about their looks that even after looking good they want to look better. I don't think anyone would particularly think any less of them if their pictures were unretouched .

Magazines represent an escape fantasy to begin with. If you are going to buy one of those rags (mostly filled with commercials) have a brain about the reality. Educate your daughters and keep it in perspective. After all when we put on make up we are using a touch up method...aint nothing but a thang. btw, you are beautiful just as you are. ;)

1. Not everyone feels gay about themselves when they look at a re-touched image. 2. Don't piss around if you decided to spend MONEY on a magazine that makes you feel like shit later on. 3. And even if you were to ban photoshop, how the fuck are you ever going to get over the fact that there are people who look and feel better then you do?

Shit what the hell is peoples problem with retouching? It is a form of art, it requires skill and it is in fact necessary too - if they didnt use photoshop for magazines, nobody would even buy those magazines, because people like looking at flawless pictures. They dont wanna see their fav celebrities fat or wrinkled. Everyone who has a brain should know its retouched anyway and stop taking shit too seriously.
