I myself was born in the 80's & grew up listening to a lot of Country & Westeren music thanks to my father & Kenny Roger's was & I feel still is a superb Country & Western Singer...This Particular song is I feel brillaint. Thanks Kenny! =o)

im an 80's kid who grew up thinking kenny rogers was just a vocalist and could not play an actual instrument. he does a good job on the bass here....surprised and impressed!

Whoops! You are so right! Terry Williams was the original member of the First Edition and Kin replaced him later on.

Hey Musicman Kevin, thanks for the info. Please change Kin's info to Terry Williams. Terry, and Mike formed the group, then were joined by Kenny, Thelma, and Mickey Jones. Kin joined later, replacing Mike.

Kenny played acoustic bass for several years with many groups including a stint with the New Christy Minstrels, where he met guitarists Mike Settle & Kin Vassey along with Thelma Camacho as well as Kim Carnes (whom he worked with many years later). He switched to a Fender bass when he, Mike, Kin & Thelma formed the First Edition in late 1967 (they also endorsed Fender guitars and in return received their instruments for free).
