my family are gypsies and having travelled all over one thing is true nationalism and racism is apart of ALL countries and their cultures. i think this song is lyrically brilliant it takes NO sides as stated by GoyimGirl it simply states a basic fact that the world will see an upheaval in politics, empires will rise and fall... and MOST IMPORTANTLY, as they always have and always will! it's called HUMAN NATURE!! welcome to the world!!

GoyimGirl: I had a look at your site. You make some valid points and US support for the Israeli's near-genocide in Gaza is a disgrace. Your comments on this page, however, are racism pure and simple and destroy any credibility you might otherwise have. Very disturbing. P.S. There is no such thing as a bad race or a good race. There are just good people and bad people. You fall into the latter category.

GoyimGirl: Be careful...the monsters who exterminated Jews did the same to those lacking a basic level of human intelligence.

I came to know the music of Leonard Cohen by way of Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah. While I appreciate Leonards take on the song, it is my least favorite of his songs that he performs. Every other song that I have seen on here is amazing, and I have come to appreciate his simple, straight forward vocals that don't get in the way of the brilliant lyrics. We all would be lucky to leave behind a fraction of the legacy this man will when he passes on.
