This maybe one of the charm of the Grand National --- full of drama. It was really astonishing to see Boom Docker refused while having a clear lead!

It's no wonder that Red Rum was such a legend --- three victories at Aintree with a debilitating, incurable bone disease in his foot, which nearly made him be put down. And we never heard the commentory said "Red Rum was the faller"! He ran stedily and smoothly, not like other ex-leaders --- Sebastian, Boom Docker(maybe it can be spelt like this), and Andy Pandy. They all went wrong and was out of race.

God i remember this race like yesterday..Yes i cried as well lol!..What a horse..Never to be forgotten..

Red Rum, he's really something. It's a legendary moment. Maybe it is the Grand National that makes me start to watch horse racing when I was a child. I'm Chinese and horseracing is not so popular in mainland China.

amazing- im 15 and was 3 years old when this horse died, so i never really even knew of his existance untill i was a few years older, but i think he holds a place in my heart as my favourite, and proberly the worlds favoutite horse. i love the commentry toward the elbow- "he's getting the most tremendous cheer from the croud- theyre WILLING him home now! the 12 year old Red Rum, being proceded only by loose horses, being chased by Churchtown boy..." makes me cry every time!
