I have recently returned back from to the UK from Shenzhen. It is an amazing city which would give any western city a run for their money. One of the things i noticed was a total lack of crime. I would recommend going to shenzhen 100%.

Gun control? LOL. You take the guns out of law abiding citizens and only the criminals will have them. Criminals don't care about the law. The triads don't care about law. Anyone can purchase on the black market. Geesh.

Not to mention that soon every street will be riddled with security cameras able to track group gatherings, people running, etc... All part of China's all seeing eye. Fucking reds.

China can be justifiably proud of the Shenzhen experiment--a city of rice paddies in 1980 that is now as modern and sophisticated as an East Asian boomtown. I hear it also has the biggest crime rate in China (and look at that traffic!), but that's the price of becoming a big modern city I guess! Wish I could go there...
