Okay, he is realy fantastic and a renewer in his time, no doubt about it, but a god? Not to me, there are more good/excellent guitarplayers, like Tony Macalpine, Peter Green, Jimmy Page, Jef Beck, Ritchie Blackmore, Steven Morse, Gary More, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Burke Shelly, Jan Akkerman, Michael Schenker, etc. etc. etc. each good in their own special way.

New? Joe's first album was out in 1986. He's not new, but he is a god of the electric guitar, no doubt there.

the js chrome boy was out way before those other guitars were. prs didnt really get that popular until the 90's. the omen wasnt even out back then. it was created from the ground up. joe didnt even like the first ibanez models that were given to him. he had to help them design what he wanted.
