Was'nt he chubby until after college when he was living on the roof taking LSD and eating one meal or less a day? The hair got longer too. It was the mid sixties and there was a British invasion for the Doors to jump on. Great timing!

Jim Morrison was always shy, short and chubby during his College years. He miraculously emerged from his cacoon in his senior year gaining 2 inches in height. One day on Venice Beach he runs into Ray Manzerak of the fledgling band Rick and Ravens and who was completing a masters at UCLA, having already discharged from the military. The lyrics of moonlight drive inspired him to prod this young troubled lizard and the rest is history.
