Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention – Live at The Fillmore West/Interviews (1970)

Segments taken from Roelof Kiers fantastic documentary filmed for the VPRO in Holland. Live footage is from a show at The Fillmore West in San Francisco, CA on November 6th, 1970. Great lineup here featuring Flo & Eddie as well as the incredible drummer Aynsley Dunbar–who lost Jimi Hendrix’s coin toss to Mitch Mitchell in 1966 when he couldn’t decide between the two drummers. Also featuring George Duke, Ian Underwood & Jeff Simmons.

Quality is decent, recorded from a TV broadcast.Unsettling that these interview segments were shot over 45 years ago.
